Face Masks Needed

Greetings Friends!

I hope this finds you all well and safe.  This is definitely a trying time for us all and I know I miss seeing my friends at the library.

I received word from Royce that the library is planning to reopen in phases soon. In order to do this safely face masks are needed for the employees. They have been ordered but unfortunately the order has been delayed with no real answer on when they can be expected.

If you are making face masks (or know someone who is), would you consider donating a few this week to the library staff for their protection?
If you can help, please let either me or Royce know so that we can make arrangements to get the masks to the library safely.
Thank you for your willingness to serve.

Stay healthy!

Sheila

Officer appointments for the next year will be on the agenda. It is important for you to notify me if you are interested in a position even if you cannot attend this meeting. Changing the day or time of the board meeting will be discussed if there is enough interest.

I hope to hear from you through email or see you at the meeting.

November Friends Meeting

Hello Friends!

Our General Membership meeting will be held on Thursday, November 14th at 6:30 pm. At this time we will meet in the library annex (where the escape room was).

We will have a report on the recent book sale as well as appointing  board members who will serve for the next year.  If you are interested in serving on the board in any capacity I urge you to attend this meeting or let me know in advance of the meeting. The board meets the second Thursday of odd numbered months at 6:30 pm.

In addition, if you have items you would like to discuss please let me know by Wednesday, November 13th so it can be added to the agenda.

Thank you for being a part of The Friends of Liberal Memorial Library. Sheila Wells

Book Sale update

What a great Book Sale!  Our Fall Book Sale surpassed all  our expectations. I can’t wait for our General membership meeting on November 14th at 6:30 to give everyone the details.

Mark your calendars now and plan to join us. This meeting is also important for anyone wanting to serve on the Friends Board for the upcoming year.

I would also like to welcome all of our new members and say thank you to those who renewed their memberships last week. We appreciate your support for the library.

As a way to help promote community involvement and the Friends, we will be participating in the Seward County United Way Trick or Treat on Sunday evening October 27th from 5-7 pm. If you would like to help decorate our table and hand out treats please be at the mall by 4:00pm. We could also use some candy donations as they are expecting around 1000 people to attend. If you cannot attend but would like to donate candy you can drop off donations to the library by Friday.
