Greeting Friends of the Library,

Here are some things to be aware of in the month of October.

Our Fall Book Sale will be October 14-19.

As always, Monday the 14th is the opening reception for the Friends from 6-8 pm. If one or two of you would be willing to provide 3 dozen cookies it would really be appreciated.

In addition, we will need volunteers to staff the sale as much as possible to take some of the burden off the library staff. Let me know what hours and days work best for you. Even one hour helps a lot.

In response to public request we will open the book sale on Saturday from 11-2.

Finally, October is National Friends of the Library month. In celebration we will have a “Recommended Reads” display in the library. If you have a favorite book(s) you would like to recommend please email me with the titles within the next week. Make sure the titles you recommend ones that our library owns.
